HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

In 1990 Nicholas “Nick” Wong launched Hawaii’s first privately owned and operated treatment facility for medical waste and regulated garbage.  His insight and innovative vision paved the way for exponential growth in the Hawaii market.  His legacy continues.  Business thrives in the Aloha State.

LITTLE-KNOWN FUN FACT

NCNS was named after its original owners by taking the first letter of each of their first names — Nick and Carrie Wong and Neal and Sharleen Okimoto.  The acronym affectionately known in local networks as NCNS was born.  Neal transitioned into a different role in the company in its infancy and eventually relinquished his ownership shares back to Nick.  In 1993 Nick became 100% stockholder of the corporation.

CURRENT STATE OF AFFAIRS

In 2015 Nathan “Nate” and Kretia Wong purchased 100% of the company’s stock from Nate’s father Nick.  The husband and wife duo are proud second-generation owners who venture to expand the company’s reach across the Pacific Ocean.  Its target endeavors to achieve “key player” status in the mainland waste industry on the continent.
